Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Catechumens are individuals who have been baptized in any tradition and need basic evangelization and catechesis. Canditates are individuals seeking full communion with the Church and fall into one of two groups: batpized Christians seeking full communion with the Church; and Catholic people who have been baptized but who are not fully initiated, with little or no instruction in the Bible or general Christian teachings.
